The Spruce Run / Womancare Alliance Offers Hotline Training

In Piscataquis County

            Womancare, the domestic abuse prevention resource center serving Piscataquis County and Spruce Run, the resource center serving Penobscot County have recently merged and become one agency; the Spruce Run / Womancare Alliance.  It is our hope that with our combined resources we will be better able to serve both counties.

Emotional Healing with the 7 Chakras Support Group

What are you doing on Thursday afternoons between 3:30 and 5:00?  How about getting together?  Beginning March 6th  Sprucerun- Womancare Alliance will offer a 7 week art support group focusing on the 7 Chakras.  The facilitators will assist the group in understanding the seven chakras  though exploration of art and color. Concentrating on the chakras is a way of understanding the physical body and creating a positive energy shift. Blocked energy will Block your mind.  The support group will be co facilitated by Ginger Hutchins and Alexandria McDade.  So, please join us Thursday afternoons, from 3:30-5:00 beginning March 6th and spend some time exploring your emotions and healing your chakras through art. Wilderness Race Mushers Run to Moosehead in February

The eighth annual Wilderness Sled Dog Race will take place Saturday, February 1, 2014 in the forested mountain trails of the Moosehead Lake Region.  One of only three long-distance races in New England, the Wilderness Race will begin and end in the town of Greenville and offers mushers and their canine athletes a chance to compete in the challenging 100-mile Wilderness area.  A 30-mile race is also held, and fun activities for spectators and families are scheduled throughout the day. This event is free to the public.
